Merry Christmas Everyone!,
Sorry for the lack of progress updates, we have been super busy working on both Castle Wars and Pub Simulator. Today we would like to try a new approach to how we give updates, we have an interview with one of the map designers.
Over the last few months, the map team has been busy creating new 3D assets for the housing area featured in Pub Simulator. The Suburban area in Pub Simulator is heavily based on 2 real-world areas, One area being Highmoor lane, in Cleckheaton (West Yorkshire), and the other Woodside Mews Housing estate in Rastrick, both areas will feature real-world pubs, in their respective areas.
Castle wars is in full development and the programming team is hard at work developing the mechanics for the game, more news to follow in the new year.
Hello, I'm Lucy, one of the level designers here at Yellow Noodle Games, My role at the company is to develop the in-game map. I start off by looking on google maps at the area we are targetting to recreate in the game. I then start creating the houses in Unreal Engine 4, using Blueprint, i found building the houses in Blueprint was much easier than creating them in the main editor, By creating them in Blueprint Editor i can reuse the houses and edit them freely, it also speeds up the whole level creation, instead of having to create each house individually i can edit them to my needs and to how they would appear in real life.

We are hoping that 2021 is a better year for us and that we can ship both Pub Simulator (Early Acess) and Castle Wars in Late 2021, more news to come on release dates in the new Year
And lastly we would like to wish all of our followers, staff, and family members a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
