We at PixelPunk Studios are proud to reveal our debut project for Train Sim World: a full Remaster of Northern Trans‑Pennine, launching alongside a brand‑new BR Class 37/0 locomotive add‑on.
Our team has rebuilt NTP with care and authenticity. More than 70% of the route has been completely reconstructed, with towns such as Dewsbury and Huddersfield recreated exactly as they appeared in the early 1980s.
The remaster brings NTP up to modern TSW7 standards, including TOD4 lighting, enhanced suspension across all rolling stock, improved track shadows, and a wide range of quality‑of‑life upgrades.
Alongside the route, we’re introducing the BR Class 37/0, the split‑headcode variant seen throughout the era in classic BR Blue. Rebuilt from the existing 37/5, this locomotive features refined physics, updated suspension, and an improved soundset for a more authentic driving experience.
The 37/0 launches with a brand‑new 1982 timetable, making full use of all era‑appropriate BR rolling stock released since NTP first arrived in TSW.
Rounding out the pack are two new wagons — the VAA and OBA — expanding freight operations across the Pennines. - More news to follow in the coming months
We can’t wait for you to experience this definitive version of Northern Trans‑Pennine
