Development Diary #6: The Suburbs (Continued)

Welcome back to part 2 of the Suburbs. Since the last development diary about the Suburbs, the environmental developers have done more work on the Suburbs such as adding a lovely spacious park with benches and a bandstand that will have some scripted events by the end of the development of Pub Simulator.  When you first start playing, you will start off in the luxurious park sat in front of the beautiful bandstand, where you will begin your adventure into the world of Pub Simulator. As you can see in the pictures below, the Suburbs have been updated and added to, such as a spacious park with a beautiful bandstand and plenty of benches. Damo's Bar is very near to completion and The houses in the Suburbs will be fully featured and during the game you will be able to decorate and plan out how you want your house to be like, for example: you will be able to add any decor like pictures, ornaments and flowers etc, you will be able to add furniture such as sofas, tv's and beds,...

Insight Into Game Development

Good Morning Everyone, Todays blog post is slightly different to the last posts, today we're going to give you an insight into some aspects of the process of developing a game. During development a lot of our assets are not fully textured until we have finalised the design for that area, Example the buildings and the interiors are greyscale, during the construction phase our designer is putting together the final ideas for that scene and collating all the textures and materials experimenting with how the final version should look. We also spend quite a lot of time in wireframe mode, which enables us to view all the geometry in the scene, hidden and unhidden, for example doorway entrances. Development Diary #5: The Suburbs

Here at Yellow Noodle Games, we are happy to announce another development diary on our game Pub Simulator. We have added many things and still working hard to cook up this great new game for all you gamers out there. We would like to thank everyone who has joined and continued to follow us on this epic journey to a amazing and fun game. we hope you enjoy the journey and continue to follow along. This week in our game lab we have been working busier than bees in a hive (obviously not making honey), we are introducing a Day/Night cycle to the game to give you more of a realistic experience with the game and so you can experience different types of the day and night whether it be busy or quiet. We have added suburbs but are still currently working on adding more and are working very hard to make the game the best it can be for all you fellow gamers who are interested in letting your inner bartender run free. Hotel and Bowling Alley

Good morning everyone and a belated happy new year, hope we all had a good Christmas, its been a busy few weeks here at KP software, with 2 of our team members having a baby, so congratulations to Kelly and Paddy on the Birth of their daughter Lydia Mai. Over the past few weeks we have been busy working on new assets and interiors for our game, so far we have built a hotel complete with conferencing facilities, and are currently working on a bowling alley complete with bowling minigame because who doesn't like bowling (Hey cousin lets go bowling).
